I’ve been using Twitter for search a lot more lately. For things that are happening right now, Google is miserable (their shoddy Twitter ‘integration’ included). This is not news. It’s just that I’ve been surprised at how much I search Twitter these days. Smoke a few miles away? ‘smoke SF’. Worse than usual traffic downtown? ‘traffic downtown SF’. Itchy eyes all day? ‘allergies SF’. Overhear someone excitedly mention an app/event/restaurant/whatever? Straight to Twitter. Maybe everyone else is already doing this as well? If you’re not, you should try. If nothing else, it will be a refreshing reminder that most people on Twitter kant spel.
